Currently a Managing Partner with InSight Solutions
Group, Tom has led successful management change efforts
as a consultant for more than 20 years. In 1983 he created
The Elder Group, a management consulting firm which
grew from a regional company focused on technology,
process, and organization change to a full scale professional
service operation with national and international clients.
Between 1983 and 1999 as Principal of The Elder Group,
Tom provided leadership and innovative solutions to
start-ups and multi-billion dollar companies alike across
nine industry groups. Projects involved Reengineering,
Restructuring, Organizational Development, Technology
Planning and Implementation, Insourced Management, Acquisitions
and Mergers, Cultural Change, Management and Market
Assessment, and High Performance Team Building. A major
experience base for Tom and The Elder Group was in the
healthcare industry. His experience in this arena, both
for-profit and not-for-profit, included leading multiple
reengineering business and clinical teams, providing
strategic planning for large provider chains, creating
and organizing regional service centers, creating new
business functions via acquisition, joint venture, or
licensee arrangement, as well as providing insourced
management for multiple functions in a multi-year change
process. In addition to Healthcare, Tom has led similar
efforts in the Food Service, Manufacturing, Financial
Service, and Energy Industries.
In 1999, Tom helped The Elder Group partnership transition
into InSight Solutions Group, which is an alliance organization
offering a wider array of change management skills provided
by professionals based around the country. ISG now pulls
from other national providers in the area of legal compliance,
data based marketing, management assessment, compensation
program design, and executive team building. This provides
the ability to quickly pull together a wide range of
skills needed for change teams to cope with the dynamically
changing business environments we experience.
During the last six years through this alliance, Tom
has led the cultural merging of a billion dollar acquisition
in Food Service, provided management selection and infrastructure/process
development for a successful high tech start-up, as
well as ensured compliance and performance enhancements
to a mid-size manufacturing company.
Prior to his career in Professional Services, Tom was
a member of the PepsiCo management team. Working in
both Frito-Lay and Pepsi-Co Foods International Divisions,
Tom moved cross-functionally within the corporation.
Serving in nine roles in 15 years within the Finance
and Information Technology functions, he found his calling
as a “change agent.” Whether as Financial Chief of the
Canadian Operation implementing needed infrastructure,
or as the head of new technologies and end-user computing
at Frito-Lay in the early 1980’s, Tom has been successful
in transforming organizations.
Tom is a graduate of The University of Alabama with
both a BS in Mathematics and an MS in Environmental
Science. He has published research related to Air Pollution
Control. In addition, he has published articles in the

Fred Parrish brings a successful history
of P&L management, as well as significant years experience
in financial and operational areas, to his role as Senior Consultant for InSight Solutions Group.
For more than eight years, Fred has worked in increasing
responsible roles as the senior financial officer for
fast-growing firms in Dallas, Texas. Prior to that,
he served for over ten years as the Chief Executive
Officer for The Company Doctor (acquired by Healthsouth
Corporation) and Composite Technology Group, as well
as headed his own consulting firm for two years.

organizations, Fred has also been responsible for the
development and implementation of business policies
and strategic plans to drive the financial performance

One model he developed for the healthcare company had
significant impact on the corporation’s financials,
